July 25 Meeting

Members were informed that Carbatec will be shutting their Adelaide and Perth offices down on August the 16th 2025.

Orders were taken from the Club for a combined order to Carbatec

Subs are due today. They are $50 which covers annual subscription and insurance.

The Club still has a Leader 5 speed lathe for sale for $200 including chuck.

John Tucker attended the Strathalbyn Men’s Shed and demonstrated intarsia. He inspired several people to participate and now finds himself drawn to that group. John has indicated that he probably won’t be a regular attendee at our Club but would like to drop in from time to time to see how we are going.

At least 6 people attended the pyrography workshop conducted by Paul Jupp today and reported they all enjoyed their day. Other members worked on lathes or their carving projects.
Next month we will be discussing resin.
