June 25 Meeting

Members were informed of the Northen Turners weekend and the chance to see Neil Turner demonstrating. Unfortunately, the date clashes with the Port Elliot Show.

Members are able to sell their work through the Encounter Centre at a cost of 40% commission.

Brian was able to get some business cards from Mountain River Timber, and these are available for people to take.

Jason Mckee sent the Club an email offering to demonstrate his refillable texters, water-based paints and stains. Members were keen to see this, and Jason will be contacted to arrange a date for next year.

Subs are due at the July meeting and will be accepted today. This will include $30 sub and $20 insurance.

Members were reminded of the need to make stock for the Port Elliot Show and also entries into the show woodwork exhibition.

The Victor Harbor Men’s Shed are having a garage sale on the 13th of September.

One of the Leader lathes has been sold but there is still one for sale for $200 and this includes a chuck.

There was a small amount of wood for sale after Show and Tell

The demonstration today is Finishes and will be provided by Ross, Wayne and Doug.

There was a large showing on the Show and Tell table.
