April 25 meeting

After welcoming members and visitor, all were informed that forms for the Wooden Boat Festival sales table were available.

We will be setting up in the vicinity of Armfield Slip on Friday the 25th of April at 3.00 pm and will be seeking helpers.

Also, and more importantly, we will be seeking as many as possible to assist with the sales table and demonstration on Saturday the 26th and Sunday the 27th.

A reminder was given for the Port Elliot Show in October and members were encouraged to consider what they intend to enter into the various woodwork competitions.

We still have a lathe for sale and the Club is willing to lend the lathe out to anyone to take home on the condition they bring it back for meetings

We have a new 5/8 bowl gouge for sale at $89.00

The Jetty Food Store is running low on wood turned eggs and people were encouraged to make some and deliver or bring to the next meeting.

Following Show and Tell where Mandy won the Golden Egg for her carved burl, John Tucker gave a fantastic presentation on intarsia backed up with some beautiful examples.
