February 25 Meeting

Mandy has arranged for the wooden eggs we have made to aid the Hooded Plover Conservation Fund to be sold at the Jetty Food Store in Port Elliot and this has raised $200 so far. Because of the success with sales Jetty Food Store is looking for more eggs and members were encouraged to make some and bring to the next meeting. Jetty Food Store are also looking for food related items to sell on consignment.

The March meeting will be a 2-day bowl turning weekend and will be on the first and second of the month.

We have a few Member Declaration Forms missing and members were asked to complete the forms and return to David for his records. David has spare forms and USBs if needed.

The Club still has 2 lathes for sale with a reduced price of $200 each and this includes a chuck for each

The Club has arranged 3 tents for the Wooden Boat Festival. One for sales and 2 demonstration tents. These will be situated close to the Armfield Slipway.

There were printed programs available at the meeting for those who had not printed off the email when Wayne sent them out.

Wayne led a discussion on sanding and later demonstrated how to turn a wooden egg.
